Challenge
Huddleston needed to consolidate a variety of servers and back office applications that had grown with the firm without the benefit of a single cohesive plan to support the requirements of a fast-growing legal practice. The requirements included a provision for prime-time help desk and technical support, a single email system, the design and implementation of an integrated public website, an intranet portal for document collaboration, and a comprehensive security system designed to continually assess vulnerability and provide ongoing protection against viruses and hackers.
Solution
Netswitch provided a new and fully integrated One World IT Infrastructure platform which included embedded security protection, an MS SharePoint server based intranet portal for collaboration, and the design of a completely new and fully integrated public website. In addition, Netswitch designed and installed a Virtual Private Network for secured access for mobile devices and a secure firewall to protect their network from unauthorized internet access. Netswitch also provides prime-time help-desk and technical support with a 99% uptime Service Level agreement.

Through Netswitch’s One World IT Infrastructure platform and Managed Services support agreement, Huddleston was able to lower its overall IT costs while improving the efficiency of its legal staff through access to collaborative systems. At the same time, they were able to increase the availability of critical IT systems including email, while providing an improved customer experience through its new public web site, and are now operating on a fully integrated IT Infrastructure that supports their future growth.
