About Zorrel, Inc.

Zorrel is a manufacturer of athletic, adventure and performance clothing, located in Grandview, Missouri. They are one of 18 wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Nan Yang Textile Group, an eco-friendly, socially responsible and sustainable textile manufacturing company started in 1958 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.

Challenge

When Nan Yang acquired Zorrel in 2004, they needed to replace and consolidate all of the office applications, telephony and telecommunication systems, and complete network infrastructure.

In addition, they needed to add server processing power and improve the reliability of their security systems, and they needed on-going technical support and help-desk management for their IT infrastructure, both in the United States and in Thailand.

Solution

Netswitch provided design and implementation consulting services for their new IT and network Infrastructure, and replaced their GroupWise email platform, migrating them to the Zimbra Open Source email platform which was the standard for all Nan Yang companies. This included the conversion of their old network infrastructure to allow the deployment of hosted IP telephony services that were integrated across all of the Nan Yang companies. We visit their sites on an annual basis for major upgrades, and provide ongoing managed services for their One World IT Infrastructure support.
